Collection: Nervous System

The Nervous System is the body’s electrochemical communication network, responsible for transmitting signals between the brain, spinal cord, and the rest of the body. It controls both voluntary actions, such as walking and speaking, and involuntary actions, such as breathing and heartbeat regulation. The system is divided into two major components: the Central Nervous System (CNS), which consists of the brain and spinal cord, and the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS), which includes the nerves that extend throughout the body, connecting all parts to the CNS. Through this intricate network, the Nervous System enables rapid communication, coordination of bodily functions, and responses to both external stimuli and internal needs.
